Welcome To Bigfoot Cycle Club

Welcome to Bigfoot Cycle Club based in Hayes near Bromley, Kent. We have over 130 members not only from the immediate area but from Beckenham to Blackheath, riding or racing for fun and fitness. We run regular road and off-road rides for all abilities and family rides to allow riders to bring along their kids in a safe environment. If you’re interested in riding then check out the calendar section or forums for when our next rides are and why not come along and try one out. Membership - Time To Renew If you cycle with Bigfoot CC we require you to be a member in order to validate the Club's insurance. Existing membership expires on September 30th 2010. If you wish to continue cycling with us, please complete a form and return it by Monday 13th September. This will give us just enough time to renew your membership before October 1st. We are offering 18 month membership for £12 if you have your own CTC, BC or LCC membership or £30 if you want the Club to arrange your affiliated CTC membership. Social Meeting - September 15th. Change Of Venue We're going to the pub! There's a social meeting at the Two Doves on Oakley Road, BR2 8HD at 8pm on Wednesday September 15th in the back room. All club members and prospective members are welcome. It's a chance to find out about the plans for September and October (see below) and hear about a couple of exciting ideas for 2011. The Pickhurst where we had planned to meet was unavailable.

Late Summer 'Sporteef' - Saturday Sept 18th The Bigfoot Late Summer 'Sporteef' is designed for ALL riders as a whole club on-road event. Last year 50 riders took part and we're hoping to top that. There'll be three separate rides (Levels 2, 3 and 4) converging for an intermediate stop at the Speedgate Cafe by Brands Hatch. Note earlier start time of 8am. Read more...

Hog Hill Club Day - October 17th Similar to the event we held at Hog Hill last year, Bigfoot CC is planning to hire the HH road race and MTB circuits for a two hour session on October 17. Open to all, it's a chance to have a go on a race circuit at your own pace or in a group, practicing your skills. Adults £10, children free (must be accompanied by a parent/guardian). Sept 19th family & level 1 local ride Adam is leading another great Sunday Family and Level 1 Ride on September 19th. It's virtually all off road or on quiet roads with no hills to Jubilee Country Park and Chislehurst. See the Next Rides Page for all the details.

Rog & Dee: Round The World Day 150 Rog and Dee are still in Iran enjoying warm hospitality, attracting police attention and the locals' curiosity: "So many people across Northern Iran must think that all English women, have large derrieres and cheesy grins, with husbands, wearing an Aussie hat!" 2010/11 Kit update Most of the kit in our first order has now sold out but there are still a few long-sleeve jerseys (£50) available to buy in L and XL. Visit Bigfoot Bikes if you're interested. An order has been placed for more short-sleeve jerseys (men and women's), bibshorts (men and women's), long-sleeve jersys, gilets and arm warmers. Delivery is expected in October. Team Bigfoot CC climb up the rankings Our small team of road racers have secured a over dozen top ten finishes and numerous wins between them to place the team in the top 10 teams in British Cycling South East rankings.
