If you're new to cycling, returning after a break, a seasoned pro or just want a ride on the odd sunny weekend then here's where you can find out about everything we do and what it's like to be part of a cycling club.
Road, MTB and family rides
- Rides suitable for all levels of ability
- No one gets left behind
- Everyone welcome
First and foremost Bigfoot Cycle Club is set up to be all inclusive, new riders are always made to feel welcome and we have enough organised rides and events happening to suit everyone.
Every week there are road and MTB rides which cover different distances and are aimed at varying abilities. If you want to charge up and down hills all day, take part in Time Trials and Sportives, bomb down tight singletrack in the dark and push yourself then we've groups for that. However if you want to take it easy, have no desire to ever wear lycra and just want a short ride into the countryside then we cater for you too. We also cover everything in-between.
If you have taken part in three of our rides we ask that you join formally.
How's it work, what do I do, am I fit enough, is my bike alright!?
This website is our main means of letting everyone know what we're up to. By checking the Next Rides and Calendar sections you'll be able to see what rides are coming up, when and where they start, how long they are and importantly when you can expect to be back!
Mountain bike rides take place most Sundays and we have regular evening rides most weeks too. Road rides are every Saturday morning.
If you've a bike and can ride it for about 20 miles then you'll be just fine. If that's too much then keep an eye out for some of our shorter rides and family rides in the spring and summer months. For road rides we recommend road bikes with slick tyres, if you've any doubts about your bike then pop into Bigfoot Bikes in Hayes and they can check it over for you.
Turn up and try it!
If you've any other questions or concerns then email us; otherwise just check for the next suitable ride, see where we meet, read this advice, turn up and try it.

Ride Rules
We do have a few basic ride rules to just keep things safe so please be aware of these.
A quote from a rider who recently decided to come along for a club ride
"Just to say thank you to you all today for making me feel welcome to the club. I eventually plucked up the courage to sit down again today but made sure that all the cushions were very plumped up first. I can't make it for the next couple of weeks but am looking forward to joining level 2 again soon. Thanks again to Mike for the loan of the bike and I can assure you that it's safe with me!"
