Welcome to Bigfoot Bike Club based in Hayes near Bromley, Kent. We have over 120 members not only from the immediate area but from Beckenham to Blackheath, riding or racing for fun and fitness. We organise regular road and off-road rides for all abilities and family rides to allow riders to bring along their kids in a safe environment.
If you’re interested in riding then check out the calendar section or forums for when our next rides are and why not come along and try one out. If you enjoy yourself you can join the club to get various membership benefits.

Mad Fools Ride April 1st Rog & Dee
Roger and Dee start their round the world cycle ride on April 1st. They'll set off from Bigfoot Bikes at 11am and are inviting members to join them on the first leg. It's 17 miles to this campsite. You can also join them that evening for a glass of lemonade or two. If you want to camp then this is the Easter weekend and you might want to book soon! To follow their progress, email Roger and Dee (roganddeesims@hotmail.co.uk) and they'll include you in their updates.

Lanzarote 18th-25th April 2010 - Ride Details
We now have details of each day's ride on the Lanzarote trip. They vary from 42 miles to 68 miles. The Bigfoot contingent will be joined by 19 people from DeVer in Streatham and 20 from a club in Liechtenstein. All three clubs will mix and create three levels for different abilities. Bigfoot Go-Ride Club - Spring Sessions
There's a busy spring ahead for the juniors in the Bigfoot Go-Ride section including the Herne Hill Track Racing series in March. This is an introductory level of racing aimed at youths who have either never raced before, or have very little racing experience. There's also the Go-Ride MTB Competition on March 20th at the Priory School Orpington and Go-Ride Circuit racing at Crystal Palace in April. Read More...

IMBA-UK Latest
Our club is affilated to IMBA-UK - International Mountain Biking Association UK. It supports mountain biking and defends rights of way for MTBs. IMBA-UK works to keep trails and public access open for mountain biking by: supporting volunteer trail work; cooperating with trail user groups, land managers and public bodies; encouraging responsible riding. Membership Cards To Collect
There are around 60 membership cards for new and renewing members awaiting collection at Bigfoot Bikes. Rob's offering a special discount when you collect yours. CTC has yet to send us cards for around a dozen members so these are not yet available. If you have yet to renew full details are in the forum posting on membership for 09/10.

At Bigfoot Bike Club we like to ride for fun and fitness. We aim to appeal to leisure cyclists up to semi-serious riders who enjoy taking part in non-competitive events, sportives and time trials. The club is affiliated to the Cyclists Touring Club (CTC) and the Road Time Trials Council (RTTC) and now British Cycling.
We are based in Hayes near Bromley, Kent and organise regular on-road rides for different levels. There is a lively off-road section with night rides every week. We also run off road rides in a safe environment for kids for family. Click here to find out more about the different rides.
The club also arranges trips away, from mountain biking in the Lake District to a week in Italy.
Regular Rides
ROAD: We have 3-4 hour road rides every Saturday morning going around the lanes of Kent and Surrey, taking in some hills. Meet 8.15am outside Hayes Village Hall, opposite Bigfoot Bikes.
MTB: There's a lively off-road section with nightrides every Thursday at 8pm. There's usually a Sunday ride as well.

Ride Rules
Riders must be 16 or over unless accompanied by a responsible adult. Helmets must be worn on all rides. On off road night rides high power (at least 10W) lights are required. If you're not sure call the shop (020 8462 5004). Cyclists on the highway or in the countryside should obey the appropriate rules and regulations of the highway.
